Dear friends,
There is much to tell but I am struck by exhaustion and my right arm aches when I use the computer. This past week has been a busy one with many trips to L.A. and Orange County. Please know that I am alright, just very tired ...t0o tired even to write, though the words are constantly in my head.
Thank you all for the many lovely things you have sent me ad the kind thoughts. I long to return your calls and write you e-mails but the truth is, right now, I am too tired .... soon I hope my strength will return, and I will write more.

Always thinking of others . . . don't worry about the blog. Rest and focus on yourself. We must go to San Diego unexpectedly so I will miss you this week but you have the key and the house is yours. L
ReplyDeleteIs your sleep aid leaving you feeling tired and drugged? I know that's why I stopped taking Ambien. I really don't like Ambien at all.
ReplyDeleteRadhika,
ReplyDeleteAmbien also makes me feel really lousy if I take it for more than a few days at a time (I use it for jet lag). It makes me feel depressed, lethargic, and my head just does not feel right. Combining pain meds with any sleeping aid can require a process of fine tuning, switching meds, switching dosages, until one finds the right combination. With the correct combination of meds and dosages it can work well; but with the wrong combination it can make people feel really crummy. Is one of your doctors fully overseeing the meds side of things? It would be good to have one doctor who always knows all the meds you are taking or trying out, and whom you can contact fairly easily in order to calibrate dosages or switch to different prescriptions as needed.

While sleep aids can be great in a pinch, the sleep they provide isn't deep and restorative like natural sleep.
ReplyDeleteIt was great seeing Mira and meeting your MIL on Saturday, but we missed you and Andre! Sending restful thoughts your way...
